Instant Crispy Rava Dosa Recipe

If you looking out for making something nice and quick for breakfast then semolina or rava dosa can be prepared easily. Rawa dosa can be prepared very easily and quickly. There is no need to do any preparations before hand for making this dosa. It taste really scrumptious.

Ingredients for Rawa Dosa or Sooji Dosa
- Semolina - 1/2 cup
- Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
- Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Green chilly - 2 finely chopped
- Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - 3/4 tsp (as per taste)
How to make Rawa Dosa?
Take semolina, rice flour, maida in any bowl. Add 1 cup water and stir well until all lumps dissolve completely. Add 1.5 cup more water and make a thin batter.
Add green chilly, ginger, green coriander, salt, asafoetida, crushed black pepper and mix well. Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes, batter for making dosa is ready.
For dosa, place a non stick tawa on flame. Heat is slightly and pour some oil over it. Spread it all over the tawa and then pour 2 to 3 tsp batter over the tawa, evenly and thinly. Bring the flame to maximum. Roast the dosa from beneath on high-medium flame until it get golden brown.
Dosa has turned golden brown in color form beneath. As we made a thin dosa, so there is no need to flip the sides and roast again. Dosa is roasted nicely and crispy enough. Take it off flame and place it on a plate. Likewise prepare second dosa. Clean the tawa first and spread the dosa batter evenly. Roast until it turns golden brown in color. Similarly prepare all dosa.
Semolina dosa is ready. Serve with green coriander chutney or mint chutney, kasundi and relish eating.
Suggestion:
If rice flour is not available, then add some refined flour in semolina and make the dosa. You can also add some refined flour in rice flour for making the dosa.
When tawa is slightly warm, only then spread the dosa. Make sure you spread the dosa evenly and thinly.
