Vegetable Appam prepared by mixing any vegetable as per your preference in idli batter taste scrumptious and very less oil is required for making these appam. These can be served in morning or evening and can even be packed with tomato sauce for kids.

Ingredients for Veg Appam Recipe
- Idli batter - 3 cup
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Green peas - 1/4 cup
- Capsicum - 1 (1/4 cup) grated
- Green chilly - 2 (minced)
- Ginger - 1 inch piece (finely chopped)
- Salt - less than 1 tsp or as per taste
- Green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Oil - 2 tbsp
How to make Mixed Vegetable Appam
Mix finely chopped tomatoes, green peas, capsicum, green chilly, ginger, salt and green coriander in the idli batter and mix everything really well.
Preheat appam maker and pour some oil in each mold on the maker. Take mixture in a spoon and fill the molds with the idli batter. After filling all the molds, cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. When the appam get golden brown from beneath, flip the sides. Cover again and cook for 2 more minutes. Cook until appam get golden brown in color at both sides.
Take out the roasted appams in a plate and likewise prepared rest of the appams.
Vegetable appams are ready, take them out in a plate. Serve these mouth drooling vegetable appam with green coriander chutney, tomato sauce, coconut chutney or any other chutney as per your preference and relish eating.
Suggestion:
- You can increase or decrease the vegetables as per your taste or use only those vegetables you like the most.
