Sweet Corn Paneer Balls recipe

Sweet corn paneer ball can be served as starters in any party. Prepare these appetizing sweetcorn paneer balls with tea or coffee.

Corn Paneer Balls recipe

  • Sweetcorn - 1 cup (100 grams) (seeded)
  • Paneer - 200 gram
  • Bread crumbs - of 2 breads
  • Corn flour - 3-4 tbsp
  • Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece or 1 tsp (grated)
  • Green chilly - 2-3 (finely chopped)
  • Salt- more than 1 tsp (as per taste)
  • Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - for frying

How to make Sweet Corn Balls ?

Place sweetcorn seeds in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the flame and take out sweetcorn seeds from water. Grind coarsely with help of mixture grinder. 

Grate paneer. Add sweetcorn mixture in paneer. Also add 2 tsp corn flour, green chilly, ginger paste, salt, black pepper and green coriander. Separate out little amount of salt and black pepper for using later. Mix all ingredients well. Mixture for making balls is ready. 

Add little amount of water in corn flour (almost 2 tbsp) and stir until all lumps dissolve completely. Add rest of salt and black pepper. Mix all ingredients nicely. 

Take little amount of dough, bind and make a round ball. Place them on a separate plate. Likewise prepare balls from whole mixture. With this much amount of mixture. 30-32 balls can be prepared. Take one ball at a time, dip in corn flour batter and now coat it with bread crumbs from all sides. Coat all balls with bread crumbs and place them on a plate. Keep aside the coated balls for 15-20 to set. 

Preheat oil in a wok. When oil is heated, take one ball and roll it over hands to spread bread crumbs evenly. Place the ball in oil and fry until it gets golden brown in color. Now place 6-7 or as many balls as possible in wok and fry on medium flame until they turn golden brown in color from all sides. It takes 3-4 minutes for frying balls at one time. Likewise fry all balls. 

Soft sweetcorn paneer balls from inside and crispy from outside are ready. Serve hot with green coriander chutney, tomato sauce or chilly sauce and relish its taste.


Make sure to fry sweetcorn paneer balls in nicely heated oil. If the oil is not heated aptly, balls will absorb oil and may split while frying.
