Since momos are the most favorite street food for kids, you can always try making them at home. Oh, if you have already tried them, then try your hands-on noodle momos too. The deadly combination of noodles and momos can charm anyone, right from kids to adults. Let’s get started.

Ingredients Required for Noodle Momos

Refined flour - 1 cup
Instant noodle - 1 packet
Oil - 2 to 3 tsp
Cabbage (finely chopped) - 2 to 3 tbsp
Capsicum (finely chopped) - 2 to 3 tbsp
Carrot (finely chopped)
Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
Vinegar - 1 tsp
Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
Ginger Paste - ½ tsp
Salt -¼ tsp

Noodle Momos Recipe

Take 1 cup of maida in a bowl and mix 1/4 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of oil in it. Add water gradually and prepare a soft dough. We had 1/2 a cup of water, out of which only 1 to 1.5 tsp of water is remaining. Once the dough is ready, cover the dough and set aside for 30 minutes.

Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan to prepare the stuffing. When the oil is hot, add ½ tsp ginger paste and lightly saute it. Now, add 2 tbsp of chopped carrots, 2 tbsp of chopped capsicum, and 2 tbsp of chopped cabbage and saute the vegetables over high heat.

After a minute of roasting, add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil. Add 1-packet of instant noodle, noodle masala, 1 tbsp of tomato sauce, 1 tsp Soy Sauce, 1 tsp of Vinegar, and 1-pinch salt to boiling water. Cook the noodles until the water is absorbed completely.

Once the noodles are ready, cover and keep aside for 2 minutes. Transfer the noodles to a bowl after 2 minutes.

After 30 minutes, knead the dough a little more and divide it into small portions. Take a small dough portion and flatten it between your palm.

Wrap the flattened dough in dry maida and roll it into a diameter of 2.5 to 3 inches. Lift the rolled dough sheet on your hand, and put 2 tsp of noodles at the center of the sheet.

Start pleating by bringing edges together to cover the stuffing. Pleat one side of the sheet and join it to the other side. Once done, put the prepared momos on a plate and prepare the remaining ones similarly.

Fill a cooking vessel with 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Grease a sieve with a little oil and put momos in it at a distance. When the water starts boiling, place the sieve in the vessel and steam the momos for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, take out the sieve and transfer the momos to the serving plate. Noodle momos are ready to be served. Enjoy these momos with momos chutney, tomato sauce, or mayonnaise.
