Instant coconut Kalakand is a sweet made up of coconut which is scrumptious to eat. It has a mouth-melting texture.
Ingredients for Instant coconut Kalakand
- Mawa - 1 cup (250 grams)
- Cottage cheese - 1 cup (150 grams)
- Desiccated coconut - 1 cup (100 grams)
- Sugar - ¾ cup (175 grams)
- Ghee - 1 to 2 tbsp
- Cardamom (coarsely ground) - 4
- Almond flakes
How to make instant coconut Kalakand
Melt a tablespoon of clarified butter in a pan and add a cup of Mawa to it. Stir and roast it on a medium flame for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, add a cup of grated cottage cheese to it. Roast while continuously stirring it for 2 minutes.
Add a ¾ cup of sugar to it and stir well until sugar melts in it. Add a cup of desiccated coconut to it and 4 coarsely ground green cardamom. Stir and cook for 2 minutes until it reaches its thicker consistency.
Grease a tray with clarified butter and spread mixture over it finely. Garnish with some chopped dried fruits and keep it aside to set for an hour. After an hour, cut it into your desired pieces and heat the bottom of the tray for 10 to 12 seconds. Separate the pieces and serve it.
