Aloo Malai Cutlets Recipe - Aloo Mayonnaise Tikki - Veg Mayonnaise Cutlets
Aloo malai cutlet is an instant and easy to make delicious snack recipe. You can prepare this lip smacking aloo malai cutlets for breakfast or for evening tea. These cutlets can be prepared and served in any party or special occasion.

Ingredients for Veg Mayonnaise Cutlets
- Potatoes - 6 (400 grams) (boiled)
- Refined flour - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Green chilly - 2 (finely chopped)
- Red chilly powder- 2 tsp
- Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Mango powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Bread slices - 2 (crumbs)
- Oil - for frying
How to make Aloo Mayonnaise Tikki
For making aloo malai cutlets, peel the boiled potatoes and grate them in a big mixing bowl.
To the grated potatoes add salt, ginger paste, finely chopped green chilly, coriander powder, red chilly powder, mango powder and finely chopped green coriander. Mix everything really well. Add water to refined flour and stir to dissolve all lumps.
Pinch some potato mixture and roll into round shape. Then flatten it into shallow shape and place some mayonnaise to it. Lift the potato mixture from all sides and seal the mayonnaise.
Press it gently giving it an oval shape like a cutlet. Dip this prepared cutlet to the refined flour batter and dust with bread crumbs. Keep this cutlet in a plate and likewise prepare the cutlets from rest of the mixture as well.
Heat enough oil in a wok or pan. When the oil is well heated, gently slide the prepared cutlets into it and fry until they get golden brown in color from both sides. Drain out the prepared cutlets on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Similarly prepare all the cutlets.
Aloo malai cutlets are ready. Serve this lip smacking cutlets steaming hot with green coriander chutney, sweet chutney or tomato sauce and relish eating.
- The oil for frying the cutlets should be sufficiently hot. If the oil is not well heated then the cutlets can splatter while frying.
- You can also stuff the cutlets with whisked cream or mayonnaise.
- While stuffing the cutlets with mayonnaise or cream make sure you close them well.
