Moong Dal Palak Mangode Special Recipe

For this winter season today we are going to make moong dal spinach mangode. The method of making them is very easy and they are ready in a jiffy. On the day of Makar Sankranti in Indian culture, mangode of moong dal spinach are made. Especially when you are at home and it is the winter season, as well as it is raining outside, this is the best occasion to enjoy with family by making mangode. So you also make these mangode and enjoy the taste with your family.
Ingredients for Moong Dal Palak Mangode
Moong Dal - 1 Cup (200 grams)
Salt - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Red Chilli - ¼ tsp
Green Chilli - 3-4, finely chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
Spinach - 1 Cup, finely chopped
Fenugreek Leaves - ½ Cup
Coriander Leaves
Oil for frying
Process of making Batter
Wash and soak 1 cup of moong dal in water for 2 hours. After the time is up, remove all the water and put the dal in a mixer jar, save some whole lentils. Grind it coarsely, then take it out in a bowl. Put 1 teaspoon of water in the jar and take out the remaining batter as well.
Now beat the dal for 3-4 minutes, then add 1 tsp of salt, 1 pinch of asafoetida, ¼ tsp of red chilli, 3-4 finely chopped green chillies and 1 tsp of grated ginger. Now beat it with spices for 1 minute, then add 1 cup of finely chopped spinach, ½ cup of finely chopped fenugreek, finely chopped green coriander and the remaining whole lentils. Beat them for 1 minute while mixing well. Batter will be ready.
Process of frying Mangode
Heat oil in a pan, oil should be slightly hotter than medium and flame should be low-medium. Put as many mangode as you can in the pan, round the batter with the help of your hand. Let them fry a little, when they are lightly fried from the bottom, turn them. Fry them over and over till they turn golden brown from all sides. Then take them out and fry the rest in the same way. Moong dal spinach mangode will be ready, serve them with green chutney or tomato sauce and enjoy their taste.
Suggestions
The pulse has to be grinded coarsely.
The dal has to be whipped for 3-4 minutes.
A little whole lentils must be saved.
The flame should be low-medium while frying.
