Oats and Mix Veg Cheela Recipe | Healthy Breakfast Recipe

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; it should be healthy and nutritious. In reference, we are going to prepare Oats and Mix Veg Cheela Recipe. It is vitamin & fibers rich, ideally beneficial for diabetes patients; also promotes weight loss.

Let’s get onto the preparation!

Ingredients Required for Oats Cheela:

Oats - 1/2 Cup (50 grams)
Curd - 3-4 tbsp
Chickpea Flour - 1/4 Cup (25 grams)
Ginger - 1/2 tsp, grated
Green Chilli - 1-2, finely chopped
Capsicum - 2 tbsp, chopped
Carrot - 2 tbsp, chopped
Tomato - 2 tbsp, chopped
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Black Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Coriander - 1 tbsp

Oats and Mix Veg Cheela Recipe:

Take ½ cup of oats and add ½ cup of water to it. Soak the oats in the water and keep aside for 10 minutes.

[After 10 minutes]

Oats have puffed up well. They have also turned soft. Now, take a spoon and mash the oats.

Alternative: You can use a mixer-grinder to mash the oats.

Next, add 3-4 tbsp of curd (optional), ¼ cup of besan, ½ tsp of grated ginger, and 1-2 finely chopped green chilies. Pour a little water and prepare the batter for Cheela.

Alternative: You can use Semolina (Suji) instead of besan.

Once the batter attains the desired consistency, we will add veggies in it. Add 2 tbsp of finely chopped capsicum, 2 tbsp of grated carrot, and 2 tbsp of finely chopped tomato to the batter.

Alternative: You can add any vegetables you want to add.

Now, add 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp of crushed black pepper, and mix well.

The batter is ready. We have used ¾ cup of water to prepare the batter. Add 1 tbsp of green coriander and mix well.

Apply a little oil on the pan. Pour 2-3 tbsp of batter in the pan and spread it evenly. Make the Cheela slightly thick as it contains veggies. Keep the flame medium. Cover the pan and cook the Cheela for 2-3 minutes.

Suggestion: Ensure the pan is not too hot before pouring the batter else the Cheela will burn. We need a medium-hot pan for preparing Cheela.

[After 3 minutes]

The Cheela appears a little dark from the top. Pour a little oil over the Cheela and flip it. The Cheela is all-cooked from the bottom, now cook it from the other side until brown.

Once the Cheela is ready, transfer it to the serving plate. Similarly, prepare Cheela from the remaining batter. We got 4 Cheelas out of the prepared batter.

Oats Cheela is ready to be served. Serve it with your favorite chutney or Curd. Prepare Oats Cheela today and enjoy a healthy breakfast with your family.
