Soya Chunks Stir Fry
- Soya chunks - 1 cup
- Tomato - 2
- Ginger baton - 1/2 inch
- Green chilly - 1
- Capsicum - 1 (finely chopped)
- Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Oil - 1 to 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp or to taste
How to make Soy Chunks Fry Recipe
Drench the soya chunks in water first for making this sabzi. For this, take 1.5 cups of water in a vessel and place it on flame. When the water starts simmering add the soya chunks to it, followed by 1/2 tsp salt. Cover the pan and turn off the flame. Keep the chunks drenched in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
Take tomato, ginger and green chilly in a mixer jar and grind them finely to make a paste.
After doing all the preparation, heat a pan over flame and add some oil to it. When the oil is hot, splutter cumin seeds in it. Then add coriander powder and tomato paste. Stir and continue stirring for a while. Now add capsicum and saute the masala for little more until the oils starts separating from the edges of the masala.
Now the masala is ready, add salt to it. After this add soya chunks to the masala, followed by some green coriander. Stir well and cook the sabzi for 2 to 3 more minutes.
Soya chunks fry is ready , transfer it to a plate. Garnish with some green coriander sprigs and its ready to serve. Serve this sabzi steaming hot and relish eating.
Suggestions:
- Instead of tomato paste you can use finely chopped tomatoes as well and grated chilly-ginger can be used for making this sabzi.
- If you relish eating onion, then take a small onion and finely chop it. After spluttering the cumin seeds add chopped onion and roast until it gets little pinkish. Rest follow the same method.
- If you like eating a little more spicy then add some red chilly powder to it.
- You can also add any other vegetable like carrots, peas, beans or cauliflower as per your taste and preference.
