If you are thinking of making a sweet recipe with mawa and could not find it easily, then it can be prepared at home too easily. This mawa is same as plain mawa and can be prepared very easily.

Ingredients for Khoya From Dry Milk Powder
- Milk powder - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Cream - 1/4 cup
How to make Khoya with Milk Powder ?
Take butter in a pan and allow it to melt. Keep the flame low. After the butter melts, add cream into it and mix really well. Now add milk and stir the ingredients while stirring constantly. Mix really well.
Now add milk powder, little by little and mix well. Stir the mixture really well and cook until it gets thick and smooth in consistency. There should not be any lumps in the mixture.
When the mixture comes in the form of mawa and thick, turn off the flame. Mawa is ready, take it out in a bowl.
You can use this homemade mawa for making any sweet like barfi, mawa kesar barfi, mawa coconut barfi, mawa dry fruit ladoo, mawa coconut ladoo, carrot halwa or gulab jamun.
- In case you don't have cream for making mawa then you can only use butter and milk. Here, increase the quantity of butter, .i.e. take 4 tbsp butter. Use unsalted butter for making the mawa.
- While cooking mawa, stir the mixture constantly and cook on low flame. You'll be able to make good mawa.
