Special Rajma Masala recipe with Maggi Masala-e-Magic

Rajma Masala is a favorite vegetable of many people.  There are also some different ways of making them.  Today we are going to make Rajma Masala with this different spice and we will add a magical twist of Maggi Masala-e-Magic.  This is a very easy recipe and you will be able to make it instantly giving a very wonderful taste.

 

Ingredients for Rajma Masala

 

Rajma - 1 cup (200 grams to be soaked overnight)

Salt - 1 tsp

Baking Soda - ¼ tsp

Oil - 2 - 3 tbsp

Cumin - ½ tsp

Asafoetida - 1 pinch

Turmeric - ½ tsp

Coriander powder - 2 tsp

Kasoori Fenugreek - 1 tbsp

Tomato - 3

Ginger - 1 inch

Green Chilli - 3

Red Chilli Powder - 1.5 tsp

Salt - ½ tsp

Maggi Masala-e-Magic - 1 Pouch

 

Process of making Rajma Masala

 

Put 1 cup of soaked rajma, 2 cups of water, 1 tsp of salt and ¼ tsp of baking soda in the cooker and cook on high flame till one whistle.  After a whistle, reduce the flame to low and let the rajma boil for 7 minutes.  When the time is up, keep it to cool on the cooker side.

 

Process of making Masala for Rajma

 

Make a paste of 3 small green chilies, 3 tomatoes and ½ inch of ginger in a mixer jar.  Now put 2-3 tbsp of oil in a pan and heat it.  Then add ½ tsp of cumin, 1 pinch of asafoetida, ½ tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of salt, 2 tsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of dry fenugreek and green chilli tomato ginger paste.  Mix it well, add 1.5 tsp of kashmiri red chilli and fry the spices till they leave the oil.

 

After the masala is roasted well, put boiled rajma in it along with water, so that no more water will have to be added to the gravy.  Now cover it and cook it for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.

 

When the rajma is almost ready, add 1 sachet of maggi masala-e-magic and a little green coriander, stir the vegetable well, then cover it back and cook for 2 minutes.  When the time is up, rajma will be ready in this way, enjoy its taste by serving it with roti and rice.

 

Suggestions

 

Rajma must be soaked 6-7 hours before.

Roast the spices well.
