Recipe of Plain and Stuffed Tandoori Naan on Tawa

Tawa Naan tastes delicious with lots of gravy. Keeping this taste in mind, today we will make Tawa Naan. We will make this naan in two ways; One we’ll make very soft and plain naan and the other we’ll make spicy and delicious naan stuffed with potato masala. It is very easy to make them, if you make it once, you will want to make it again and again. Make naan with this recipe and get rid of the hassle of importing it from outside.
Ingredients for Naan on Tawa
For Dough For Dough
Instant Active Yeast - 1.5 tsp
Sugar - 1.5 tsp
Refined Flour - 2.5 cups (400 grams)
Salt - ¾ tsp
Milk - ½ cup
Oil - 1.5 tbsp
For Stuffing
Oil - 1-1.5 tsp
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Green Chilli - 2, finely chopped
Ginger - ½ tsp, grated
Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
Potato - 2, boiled
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chilli - ¼ tsp, coarsely ground
Dry Mango Powder - ¼ tsp
Salt - less than ½ tsp
Garam Masala - ⅛ tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1-2 tbsp
Process of making dough
Mix 1.5 tsp of instant active yeast, 1.5 tsp of sugar and a little lukewarm water in a bowl. Then cover it and keep it for 10 minutes. When the time is up, add 2.5 cups (400 grams) of all purpose flour, ¾ tsp of salt, soaked yeast (mix it) and ½ cup of milk in the bowl and mix. Knead a soft dough by adding lukewarm water. After kneading, take 1 tbsp of oil little by little on the hand and make the dough smooth. Then cover it and keep it for 1 hour.
Process of making stuffing
Put 1-1.5 tsp of oil in the pan and heat it. Put ½ tsp of cumin, 2 finely chopped green chillies, ½ tsp of grated ginger and ¼ tsp of turmeric in hot oil. Now fry them lightly and peel and break 2 boiled potatoes. Then add ½ tsp of coriander powder, ¼ tsp of crushed red chilli, ¼ tsp of amchur powder, ½ tsp of salt, ⅛ tsp of garam masala and 1-2 tbsp of green coriander.
Now roast them while mixing and mashing them well. Fry them well on low-medium flame, break the big potatoes and mash them. In this way the stuffing will be ready, take it out and cool it.
Process of making Stuffed Tawa Naan
Take some dry flour on your hand and mash the dough well. Then after applying some flour on the wheel, keep the dough on it, spread it a little and cut its balls. Cut a ball of the same size and keep it in a plate after making a round and then keep all of them covered.
Now take a dough, apply flour on the wheel and roll it a little and fill some masala potatoes in it. Close the dough and press it by applying some flour on top. Now spread it lightly by pressing so that the stuffing inside also spreads evenly. Then roll it lightly with a rolling pin, do not make it too big. Put some green coriander on it and stick it by rolling it with a rolling pin.
Now heat the tawa and place the naan on it. Then cover and cook for 2 minutes on low-medium flame. After the time is up, turn it over, then cook it on both the sides till light brown spots appear. Put them on a plate and apply butter or olive oil on it. Bharwa naan will be ready, similarly prepare the rest.
Process of making normal Naan
Take a ball and apply flour on it and press it with your hand. Then roll it with a rolling pin, after enlarging, apply some water on it, add some green coriander and roll it lightly. Then put it on the tawa and roast it till you get good brown spots from both the sides. Plain naan will be ready, prepare all the naans in the same way.
Bharwa naan and plain naan will be ready in this way. Process them with any juicy vegetable and enjoy their taste.
Suggestions
Make the naan dough soft.
After filling the stuffing, close it well and spread it by pressing it well with the fingers. Then roll it with a light hand.
Keep the flame low-medium while roasting.
