How to Cook Perfect Rice?
Rice is a staple side dish for any meal. It’s the easiest thing to cook and screw. Well, you need the right trick to cook all fluffy and perfect rice.
Today, we are going to prepare Pasaya Hua Rice. We cook, stir, and strain the rice to drain out maad (rice water). Let’s get started!
Sela Usna Rice - 1 Cup
Desi Ghee - 1/2 + 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Water - 5 Cup
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Honey - 1/2 tsp
Method to Prepare Perfect Rice:
Take 1 cup of Usna rice, wash properly, and soak them for 1 hour. Pour 5 cups of water into a cooker and bring it to a boil.
Add soaked rice to the boiling water, cover, and cook them over high heat. After 2 minutes, cook the rice over a low flame once the water comes to a boil.
After 10 minutes, stir the rice and check. They are well puffed up but still not fully cooked. Cover the rice again and cook them for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, stir the rice and cook them for another 2-3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, you will see enlarged and slightly curved grains of rice, which means they are ready. Turn off the flame and strain the rice and drain out the rice water into a bowl.
To make rice tastier, add 1/2 tsp of ghee to the rice and mix well. Pasaya Hua Rice is ready to be served. Enjoy it with dal or any of your favorite sabzi.
You can use Maad (rice water) to prepare drinks for your kids. Maad or rice water is very beneficial for you and your kids.
To prepare sweet maad drink, mix 1/2 tsp of honey into a cup of maad and serve.
To prepare namkeen maad drink, heat 1/2 tsp of ghee and add 1/4 tsp of jeera to it.
Turn off the flame and pour the Tadka into the maad. Mix 1/4 tsp of salt (or black salt) and serve. Enjoy these drinks as an appetizer.
