Caramel custard Recipe Eggless & Without Oven
It is a recipe of sweet made up of dairy products and it is mostly a perfect dish for summers.
Ingredients for caramelized custard
- Milk - ¾ cup
- Fresh whisked curd - ¾ cup
- Condensed milk - ¾ cup
- Sugar - ¼ cup
- Custard powder - 4 tbsp
- Vanilla essence - ½ Tsp
How to make the caramelized custard
Add a ¼ cup of sugar in a pan and cook it while continuously stirring it on high flame. Cook the sugar until it melts and it's colour changes to brown. After its colour changes, pour it in a serving bowl and leave aside to set.
Preheat 3 to 4 cups of water in a vessel and take 4 tablespoons of custard powder in a bowl. Add the custard powder in a bowl and add a ¾ cup of milk to it. Stir to dissolve its lumps. Add a ¾ cup of whisked curd, a ¾ cup of condensed milk to it. Add a teaspoon of vanilla essence to it. Stir to mix the mixture well.
Take the bowl of caramelized sugar and add the prepared mixture over it. Lift the bowl and place in the vessel of boiling water to steam cook it. Cover and cook it for 25 minutes on low to medium flame.
After 25 minutes, take out the bowl from the vessel and keep it aside to cool down. After cooling it, separate it from the corner using a knife. Place a plate over it, flip it upside down and dab it using your hands.
Store it in the refrigerator for an hour and later on serve it chilled. You can store it for 3 to 4 days and consume it.
You can add increase the quantity of sugar according to your taste.
