Chukandar ka halwa | Beetroot Halwa Recipe

Ingredients for Beetroot Halwa recipe :
- Beetroot - 2 ( 300 gms)
- Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Sugar - 1/2 cup ( 100 gms)
- Cashew nuts - 10 to 12 (finely chopped)
- Almonds - 8 to 10 (finely chopped)
- Full cream milk - 300 ml
- Raisins - 1 tbsp
- Green Cardamom - 5 to 6
How to make Chukandar ka Halwa:
Take beetroot,washed peeled and grated.
Heat pan, put 2 tsp ghee as ghee melts add chopped dry fruits such as cashews and almonds. Roast well for 1 minute till it changes color then keep in plate.
Pour 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, as it melts, add grated beetroot to it. Stir and roast on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, Add full cream milk. Mix it. Cover and cook it on low medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes.
After 5 minutes, keep halwa open and cook it until dense, keep flame medium.
Meanwhile grind and prepare cardamom powder. Meanwhile stir halwa every minute.
As the halwa turns dense, add sugar to it, add raisins too. Turn off flame and take out the halwa in a bowl.
Halwa is dense and ready, garnish with dry fruits to it. As it cools, you can place it in fridge and relish for a week.
