To make a salad of sprouted lentils we can use different types of lentils like : Whole Moong, Whole Lobiya, Whole Desi Chana, Whole White Chana, peas and Moth etc. Sprout your favorite or the lentils available at home and make a salad without any difficulty.

- Ingredients for Sprouted Lentils Salad

  • Desi Chana -- 100 grams(1/2 cup)
  • White Chana -- 100 grams(1 cup)
  • Lobiya  -- 100 grams(1/2 cup)
  • Moong -- 50 grams(1/4 cup)
  • Ghee/butter -- 1 tsp
  • Peanuts(peeled and roasted) -- 50 grams(1/4 cup)
  • Cucumber -- 1
  • Tomato -- 1
  • Lemon juice  -- 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper  -- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt  -- add to taste(1/2 tsp)
  • Green coriander(dhaniya) -- 1 tbsp(finely chopped)if you want

- How to make Sprouted Lentils Salad

Put sprouted Chana and Lobiya lentils in the cooker, pour 1 small cup water, salt and Ghee then mix. Turn on the gas and let the lentils boil, after 1 whistle goes off turn off the gas. Lift the whistle with a spoon and let half of the pressure escape so that lentils dont get boiled in excess.

Once the pressure is over, open the cooker. Take out the lentils in a bowl, if there is any water then keep in a different bowl and you can drink it as a soup. Cut peanuts, black pepper, lemon. Cut tomato and mix with the lentils Decorate salad on the plate.

Sprouted Lentils Salad is ready, you can have it in he morning for breakfast or for lunch-dinner or with anything.

You can increase or decrease the quantity of any ingredient aaording to your like/dislike.

Roasted peanuts are available in the market else you can roasted them in the microwave yourself.(sprinkle some water on the peanuts  and put them in the microwave set for 3-4 minutes, if the peel from the peanuts comes off easily then they are roasted. If not then roast them again once you have set the microwave for 2 minutes. Now the peanuts are roasted, allow them to cool then peel).
