    nishaji,we make launji with jaggery and also put a bit of kalonji in the baghaar.this is usually prepared in rajasthani households during sheetalaashtmi.i must admit though that i am a regular on your site.i have learned so much more reciepies to cook since i cook without onion and garlic too.

    Hello Nisha...this dish is usually made with jaggery and taste s much better than with sugar...and let me tell u one thing.dont classify all receipes as just from Rajasthan and western up.......This dish is extremely popular in M.P.

    Thank you for this recipe. I ate a similar dish at a friends place few years back but it had mango seeds (aam ki guthli) as well and it was yumm to just lick on that! Also, it was cooked in mustard oil. Would you know that recipe?

    should We use a mustard oil for raw mango lonji and if we use gur instead of sugur i mean can we use gur ka bura also nd sauf bari ya choti..

    hi nisha ji,I am so thankful to u that u have added this recipe,I made it n its turned out so gud as delisious as it is looking in this pic.My mother was not knowing how to make it,but i had tasted it somewhere in my childhood and after that I was searching the same taste ,now I found the same taste and that too made by me only and in my own home.once again thank you

    Hi nishaji,Thank you for wonderful recipe. I tried it and was very tasty. On fifth time when I cooked it again, mistakenly I poured more water quantity than intended. How can I rectify the mistake as it is now more thin liquid and not as tasty as it has to be.
