Ingredients required for the layer of mawa burfiMawa - 1.5 cup (300 gram) crushedPowdered sugar (cheeni) - ½ cup (100 gram)Cardamom (elaichi) - 5-6. In powder formIngredients required for the layer of chocolate burfiMawa - 1 cup (200 gram) crushedPowdered sugar (cheeni) - ⅓ cup (70 gram)Cocoa powder - 2 tbspGhee - 2 tbspHow to make Double Layered Chocolate BurfiTo make mawa chocolate burfi, first we will make a layer of mawa burfi and then freeze a chocolate layer on top of it.Preparing Mawa Burfi LayerCrush the mawa using a kadukas, put 1 tbsp oil in a pan and let it heat, put the gas on low flame, once the ghee is melted, add the squeezed mawa and powdered sugar to it. Keep stirring it continuously and cook till the mixture of mawa and sugar is melted. After it is melted, cook it for 5-6 minutes on low flame. Keep stirring it. Add cardamom powder and mix it thoroughly. The mixture for the burfi is now ready to be frozen.Apply oil on a plate to make it smooth. Put the mixture on the plate to freeze and apply ghee on a spoon and with the help of the spoon spread the burfi all over smoothly. Keep the burfi aside for an hour and let it cool.Once the layer of mawa burfi is ready, we will spread the layer of chocolate burfi on top. Preparing Chocolate Burfi LayerThe plain burfi is now completely cool, after this to make chocolate burfi we will put 1 tsp ghee, squeezed mawa, powdered sugar and cocoa powder in a pan. Keep stirring it continuously and cook it on a low flame till the mawa and sugar are not melted. After it has melted, cook the mixture for another 4-5 minutes till it does not start boiling slightly. The chocolate mixture for making burfi is now ready to be frozen.Put the chocolate mixture on top of the plain burfi and with the spoon on which ghee is applied spread it evenly from all sides. To freeze the burfi keep it in a cool place for 2-4 hours, burfi will freeze. Mawa Chocolate burfi is now ready to be eaten. Cut the mawa chocolate burfi into big or small pieces as per your choice.Keep the burfi uncovered for 2-4 hours, once the burfi is dry, put it in a container and store it in the refrigerator and eat it for 8-10 days. SuggestionsTo make chocolate burfi measure and take 2 tbsp cocoa powder, if we take excess of cocoa powder then the taste of the burfi will become bitter.Cook the burfi on low flame and keep stirring it till the bottom of the pan. Very tasty burfi will be prepared.

Hi NishaI tried to make the chocklate barfi. When I added the ghee and then grated khoya and sugar I cooked it but as your mixture melts mine never melted. I cooked it for a long time but it never melted. What could be the reason. The only thing I did was I had grated the khoya and frozen it. I had thawed it before making the burfi. Thanks for your assistance

Hi NishaI tried to make the chocklate barfi. When I added the ghee and then grated khoya and sugar I cooked it but as your mixture melts mine never melted. I cooked it for a long time but it never melted. What could be the reason. The only thing I did was I had grated the khoya and frozen it. I had thawed it before making the burfi. Thanks for your assistance
