We make numerous recipes or dishes with rice flour like rice flour roti, anarse, dosa or cheela, rice flour papad, sev and so on. If rice flour is not available in markets then this can easily be prepared at home.

How to make rice flour at home ?
For making rice flour its not important to use best quality or basmati rice. Small or thick rice can be used for making rice flour.
Clean rice and wash them thoroughly. Soak them for 8-10 hours. Strain the excess water from soaked rice and spread them on any cotton cloth. Place the rice under fan and dry for upto 1/2 - 1 hour inside the room.
When rice are dry .i.e. you don't feel water on touching them then add little amount of rice in mixture jar at a time and grind them finely.
Strain the grounded flour using sieve. Grind the thick granules again.
Take the rice flour in any plate and spread it thinly. Place this plate under fan for 1 whole day. Stir after every 3-4 hours with help of a spoon. With this all moisture will evaporate, You can also dry roast the rice flour in any wok with heavy base and allow it to cool.
Store the dry rice flour in any air tight container and use for upto 2-3 months.
Suggestion:
Dry the rice flour thoroughly until all moisture evaporates else it can spoil quickly.
