Method - How to make Fafda
sieve the gram flour in a bowl and add salt, baking soda, red chiili, carom seeds and oil into it. Mix all the ingredients well with hands and knead the flour with luke warm water (1/2 cup). Flip, turn and punch the dough for 6-7 minutes. Leave the dough for half an hour.
Now make small balls of the dough. Make as many balls as you can from the prepared dough.
Take a wooden board to roll out the fafda. Increase the length of one ball with hands and keep it on the board under your palm. Press it with the palms and it in front direction. Roll out the thin layer of the fafda.
Keep the fafda on the greased plate and prepare more from the other balls in the same manner.
Heat oil in a pan and fry 1-3 fafda at one time into the pan. Flip and turn the fafda and fry them until they turn light brown in colour. Fry all the fafdas in the same manner. If you are bale to roll the fafda quickly, then roll each of them one by one and fry them side by side.
We used knife to pick the fafda from the board as we don't have any flexible piece which could to used to pick the fafda.
Crispy and tasty Fafda is ready. Serve them with chutney and ketchup. You can store the remaining fafda in an air-tight container and eat whenever you like with tea and coffee.
