Lauki(Gourd) Raita is good in taste and equally nutritious. Some people do not like to eat gourd vegetable recipe, but i am sure they will definitely like gourd mixed raita. . Today we will make Lauki Raita - Gourd Raita.

Ingredients for Lauki ka Raita - Gourd Raita Recipe.

  • Curd - 250 gms.
  • Gourd - 250 gms.
  • Salt - 1/4 tea spoon (according to the taste)
  • Green chilli - 1 (chopped)
  • Roasted cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.

Method - How to make Lauki Raita

Peel the gourd and wash it thoroughly under the running water. Now cut into two pieces and grate with the help of a grater. If you have a food processor then you can grate it in it also.

Now take a pan and pour 1 table spoon water into it along with grated gourd. Put this pan on the stove and let it boil for 5-6 minutes on low flame. Withing 5-6 minutes the gourd will become soft.

Whisk the curd in the mixer or with the help of a whisker.

Put cooked gourd, salt, green chilli and roasted cumin seeds into the curd. Mix the ingredients well into the curd with the help of a spoon.

Lauki raita is ready. Transfer the raita in a serving bowl and put it inside the refrigerator to chill. Serve the chilled raita with hot and fresh food.
