Nutri Soya & Mix Veg Idli Recipe | Instant Idli Recipe
For a healthy and quick breakfast, prepare Nutri soya and mix veg idli. The preparation requires ground soya chunks and vegetables. You can pack it for your kids' tiffins, and they will love it. Let's get started.
Ingredients for Nutri Idli
Soya wadi - 1/2 cup
Semolina - 1 cup (180 grams)
Curd - 1 cup
Peas - 1/4 cup
Green coriander - 1 tbsp
Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 2
Ginger (grated) - 1/2 inch
Oil - 1 to 2 tbsp
Carrot - 1/4 cup
Coconut (grated) - 1 to 2 tbsp
Curry leaves - 10 to 12
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Eno Fruit Salt - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Nutri Soya & Mix Veg Idli Recipe
Boil 2 cups of water in a cooking vessel. Add 1/2 cup of soya chunks to water, cover the cooking vessel, and leave them for 15 minutes to puff up. Meanwhile, prepare semolina (sooji) batter.
Add 1 cup of suji, 1 cup of fresh curd, 1/4 cup of chopped carrots, 1/4 cup of green peas, 2-finely chopped green chilis, 1/2 inch of grated ginger, 1 tbsp of green coriander, 1 tsp of salt to a bowl, and mix well.
Pour water gradually and prepare a little thick batter. Cover and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes. Transfer the soya chunks to a strainer after 10 minutes, press them with a spoon to drain out extra water, and grind them coarsely.
Add ground soya chunks to the sooji batter after 15 minutes. Pour some water, but keep the consistency of the batter a little thick. We have used 2 or 2.5 tbsp of water for preparing the batter.
Grease the Idli mold with oil and mix 1.25 tsp of Eno Fruit salt in the Idli batter. Add the batter to the Idli mold and boil 2 cups of water in a cooking vessel.
Place the idli mold inside the vessel and steam the idlis for 10-12 minutes over medium-high heat. Take the Idlis out, separate the molds, and allow them to cool.
Scrape out the Idlis using the unsharp side of the knife only when the idlis are cool enough. To make Idlis tastier, we will prepare Tadka.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in the Kadai. Add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 10-12 curry leaves after the mustard seeds stop crackling and turn off the flame.
Add Tadka and grated coconut to the Idlis. Nutri Idlis are ready to be served. Serve the Idlis with green coriander or coconut chutney.
