Ingredients for Pearl millet Fenugreek Leaves Dhebra
- Millet Flour - 1 cup (150 gms)
- Wheat Flour - ½ cup (75 gms)
- Curd - ½ cup
- Fenugreek leaves - ½ cup (finely chopped)
- Clarified - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
- Green chilli - 2 (finely chopped)
- Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Salt - 0.75 tsp
How to make Pearl millet Fenugreek Leaves Dhebra
Take 1 cup of millet flour in a bowl, add 1 cup of wheat flour, a ½ cup of curd, 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds, a 1/2teaspoon of cumin seeds, 2 finely chopped green chillies, a ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder, a 1/4teaspoon of turmeric powder, a 0.75 teaspoon of salt, a ½ cup of finely chopped fenugreek leaves to it. Mix all the ingredients well.
Add lukewarm water to knead its soft dough. Cover and keep it aside to set for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, apply some clarified butter on your palms and mash the dough. Divide a dough lump and roll it between your palms.
Preheat the pan to cook Dhebra. Press the dough lump to flatten it. Coat it with the dry flour and expand it into the diameter of 4-5 inches using a rolling pin. Spread clarified butter on the heated pan and place Debra on it to cook. Flip and cook it on the medium flame from both sides till spots appear on it.
Spread some clarified butter over it and cook it. Remove the cooked Debra from the pan and cook the rest of Dhebras likewise. Dhebras are ready to serve. You can serve it with curd, pickle or sauce.
Suggestions
You can use oil instead of clarified butter.
