Aloo Sev Namkeen । Potato Sev Namkeen with Semolina
Easy to make instant snack of Potato Sev Namkeen with Semolina to satisfy your hunger pangs.
Ingredients for Aloo sev :
- Boiled Potatoes - 3 ( 300 gms )
- Semolina - 1 cup ( 180 gms)
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Oil - for frying
How to make Namkeen Sooji Potpo Bhujiya :
To make Aloo Sev, Heat upsome water in a vessel, add 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp oil to it. Cover and let it boil. As water boils turn off flame. Add fine semolina, mix well. Cover and keep it for 5 minutes to puff up.
Take boiled potatoes, peel and finely grate them.
After 5 minutes Semolina is puffed up take out in a plate. Grease hands with oil. Mash and smoothen the dough well.
Mix the semolina dough with the grated potatoes, knead well till it smoothens and blends well.
Meanwhile heat up oil to fry the sev. Oil should be medium high hot, Check if the oil is suffeciently hot by putting some dough in the oil.
Take the sev press machine. Take the fine pored jali for sev, put some dough in the machine. Once the oil is righly hot, rotate the machine and put to fry the sev, as much as it fits in the wok.
Flip it as the foam over oil reduces, Put flame to medium. Once fried , take out the sev on a strain, drain excessive oil, keep over tissue on a plate. Fry all sev likewise.
Potato Crispy Sev is ready. As it cools, keep in open for 1 to 2 hours, then fill and keep in an air tight container, and relish for over a month.
- Make sure you mash the dough for the sev very well, there should be no lumps.
