Sabudana Moong Nuggets Recipe
Sabudana moong nuggets are very crispy and tasty to eat. These can be served in any party as starter or whenever you feel like eating crispy and luscious snacks then try making this recipe.

Ingredients for Sabudana Moong Nuggets
- Sago pearls - 1/2 cup (60 grams) (small variety)
- Green moong - 1/2 cup (soaked and slightly boiled)
- Potatoes - 2 (medium size) (boiled)
- Salt - less than 1 tsp (as per taste)
- Green chilly - 1-2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger - 1 inch piece (grated)
- Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Red chilly - less than 1/4 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/4 tsp (freshly grounded)
- Mango powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Oil - for frying nuggets
How to make Saboodana Moong Nuggets
Wash sago pearls and soak in water for 4-5 hours. Clean and wash green moong dal and soak them in water for 5 hours.
Place the soaked moong dal in pressure cooker and cook until one simmer. Allow the steam to escape. Moong should be slightly boiled. Take out moong from pressure cooker and place it in sieve so that excess water drains out. Coarsely grind the peanuts. Peel potatoes and grate them finely and mash.
Strain water from sago pearls and place them in a separate bowl. Add boiled moong, peanuts, mashed potatoes, salt, ginger, green coriander, green chilly, red chilly, black pepper, mango powder and green coriander, mix and mash all ingredients nicely. Bind all the ingredients and make a dough.
Preheat oil in a pan to fry nuggets. For making nuggets, take little amount of batter in your hand and press gently giving it a round shape. With help of your palm flatten it slightly. Likewise prepare all nuggets. With this much quantity 50-60 nuggets can be prepared.
When oil is sufficiently hot, place as many nuggets as possible in wok and fry on medium-high flame until they turn slightly brown in color from all sides. Take out the fried nuggets in a plate with absorbent paper. Likewise fry all nuggets.
Serve steaming hot crusty and crispy sabudana moong dal nuggets with green coriander chutney, sweet chutney or tomato sauce and relish eating.
Oil for frying nuggets should be sufficiently hot. If oil is not sufficiently hot, then nuggets can soak excess oil and can splatter.
