Ingredients for Honey Oat Cookies Recipe
- Refined flour – 1 cup (125 grams)
- Oats – 1 cup (100 grams)
- Dark chocolate – 75 grams
- Butter – ½ cup (100 grams)
- Brown sugar – more than ½ cup (100 grams)
- Raisins – 50 grams
- Walnuts – 50 grams
- Honey – 70 grams
- Cinnamon powder – ¼ tsp
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Vanilla essence – ½ tsp
How to make Honey Oat Cookies Recipe
Start with finely crumbling the chocolate. For this, place the chocolate brick on a chopping board and chop it down finely. Also, finely chop the walnuts as well.
Prepare the batter
Take brown sugar and butter in a mixing bowl. Whisk until they get puffy. After this add honey to it and whisk again till fluffy. After this, add cinnamon powder and whisk again.
In a separate bowl take refined flour and mix baking powder to it. Strain this mixture through a sieve. Mix this to the whisked batter and stir to mix well. Just mix the flour to the batter, don't whisk it too much. Then add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and oats to the mixture and mix well. Add raisins, walnuts and chocolate to it as well and mix everything really well. Batter for making cookies is ready.
Prepare cookies from the batter
Take a tray and place silicone sheet over it. Now take some batter in your hands using a spoon and place it on the tray. Keep all the lumps on some distance as the cookies increase in size while baking and can stick to each other. Similarly, place all the cookies over the tray like this.
Bake the cookies
Preheat oven at 170 degree centigrade. Now place the tray over the middle rack inside the oven and bake the cookies for 10 minutes on 170 degree centigrade. After this check the cookies and if they have not turned brown in color then bake for another 2 minute. Check again and now cookies appear brown in color. These are baked through. It took almost 12 minutes for baking the cookies. Transfer the cookies on a rack and let them cool down.
Toothsome and flavorsome honey oats cookies are ready. When they cool down, store them in air tight container and relish eating for up to 8 to 10 days.
Suggestion
- Baking time may vary from oven to oven. So, bake these cookies for 10 minutes first on 170 degree centigrade and then check later. If uncooked, bake for 2 to 3 minutes more on 170 degree centigrade and check again. Bake until they get brown in color.
