Raw Banana Halwa - Kele ka halwa
Making halwa from raw bananas is very easy and it tastes delicious. You can serve this scrumptious halwa during fast or any time you want.

Ingredients for Banana Halwa Recipe
- Raw banana - 3 (300 grams)
- Sugar - 3/4 cup (150 grams)
- Ghee - 5 to 6 tbsp
- Milk - 1.5 cup (300 ml)
- Cashews - 10 to 12
- Almonds - 10 to 12
- Raisins - 20 to 25
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
How to make Raw Banana Halwa
Boil the bananas to make halwa. For this, remove stalk from both the ends and place them in pressure cooker, followed by 1 cup of water. Close with lid and cook until it simmers once.
After one simmer, turn off the flame and let the steam escape. Take out the bananas in a plate and allow them to cool down. Peel off the bananas, cut them in small chunks and then mash finely (you can even grate the bananas).
Chop the dry fruits. Make 6 to 7 pieces of each cashew and likewise thinly slice the almonds. Remove stalk from the raisins and clean them.
Heat 4 to 5 tbsp ghee in a wok. Add mashed bananas into it and stir constantly while roasting on low flame. When there is change in the color and ghee starts separating from it, add milk and sugar to it and mix well.
Cook until it simmers. After this add chopped cashews-almonds and raisins. Mix well and cook it gets thick and dense in consistency. Stir at regular intervals.
When the mixture gets thick, add cardamom powder and mix well. Halwa is ready, turn off the flame and take out the halwa in a plate. Grease it with 1 to 2 tbsp ghee and garnish with chopped cashews and almonds.
