Sukhi Palak Bhaji Recipe - Spinach stir Fry recipe
Spinach is loaded with Iron, Fiber and Vitamins. Spinach stir fry prepared with fresh spinach available during winters is not only healthy but super yummy to eat as well. This quick to prepare sabzi can be served with chapatti, paranthas or pooris.

Ingredients for Spinach stir Fry recipe
- Spinach - 500 grams
- Tomatoes - 2
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Green chilly - 2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger - 1 tsp (paste) or 1 inch piece (grated)
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1 to 2 pinch
- Turmeric powder - less than 1/4 tsp (optional)
- Red chilly powder - less than 1/4 tsp
- Salt - 3/4 tsp or to taste
How to make Sukhi Palak Bhaji Recipe
Remove stalk from the spinach and rinse the leaves twice with water. Place the leaves on a sieve to dry. After this, finely chop the leaves. For this, hold the leaves together in your hand, place them in chopping board and cut into half with a knife. Fold the leaves again and start chopping it finely. Place these chopped leaves on a bowl. Chop the tomatoes finely as well.
Heat a wok after chopping the veggies and place some oil in it. When the oil is sufficiently hot, splutter cumin seeds into it. Then to it add asafoetida, green chilly, ginger and turmeric powder. Saute the masala for a while.
After sauteing the spices, add chopped tomatoes and spinach to it, followed by salt and red chilly powder. Mix everything really well and saute for 2 more minutes. Cover and cook the sabzi for 2 to 3 more minutes.
Check the sabzi after 3 minutes. Spinach has started releasing some moisture. So, now cook the sabzi as it is for 2 minutes. Within 5 to 6 minutes sabzi will be ready. When the moisture evaporates, turn off the flame and mix some green coriander to it. Spinach stir fry sabzi is ready, transfer it to a bowl.
Healthy and super tempting spinach stir fry is ready, serve with steaming hot chapatti, paranthas or rice and relish eating.
