Dalia is very delicious in taste and is easy to make as well. It is nutritious for children and elders, for everyone. It can be digested easily, so people prepare Dalia and serve with Moong dal or milk. If lactation is less in a new mother then milk Dalia is given to her which increases lactation. So toady we will prepare nutritious Dalia.
- Ingredienst for Daliya- Dalia
- Wheat Daliya - 200 grams(1 cup)
- Ghee/butter - 2 tsp
- Water - 4 cup
- How to make Daliya
You get packet Dalia in any grocery shop. Take out Dalia from the packet on a plate, see if there is any mud or dirt in it. Also remove the peels, twigs if visible.
Heat the cooker, pour Ghee/butter and after it melts put Dalia. Stir fry Dalia till it turns light pink. After frying Dalia, pour water 4 times more than the amount of Dalia then close the lid.
After 1 whistle goes off, cook Dalia for 2 minutes on a low flame. Turn off the gas. When all pressure is released from the cooker, open tits lid. Light pink, pearl like Dalia is ready.
Serve and eat Dalia with Dal, milk, curd or any favourite curry.
