Ingredients for Aloo Anardana Sabzi Recipe
- Potatoes – 4-5 (300 grams)
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Dry pomegranate seeds – 1 tsp
- Green chilly – 1 (finely chopped)
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilly powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ¼ tsp
- Salt – ¾ tsp or to taste
How to make Potatoes with Dried Pomegranate Curry
Peel the potatoes and make 4 to 5 chunks from each.
Heat some ghee in a pan. When the ghee is hot, add cumin seeds. After the seeds crackle, add turmeric powder, coriander powder and green chili. Mix well and add chopped potatoes to it, followed by salt, red chili powder. Stir thoroughly to mix everything really well.
Cook the potatoes on low flame for 5 minutes on low flame and keep stirring at regular intervals. Now add garam masala and dried pomegranate seeds to it and mix well for a minute or so. Turn off the flame and transfer the sabzi to a bowl.
Super tangy and lip smacking aloo anardana sabzi is ready. Serve it with piping hot pooris, paranthas or chapatti and relish eating.
