nisha jee,
i tried yr recipee.
my chikki was very soft,the peanut did not coat the jaggery well,the colour was light brown.where did i go wrong.

I tried your recepie. It came out good, but when I poured the chikki on to a plate, strings of jaggery were forming and the whole thing was very thick.Did I overcook the jaggey? निशा: चिक्की को डालने के तुरन्त बाद चिकने किये हुये बेलन से बेलिये, आप उसे पतला बेल सकेंगे.

nisha ji mene chikki banayi lelin wo burfi ki tarah soft hi rahi...kaha kami thi...gur kya alag alag tarah ka lena hota hein..plz....batiye निशा: असीम, गुड़ की चिक्की हल्की नरम ही बनती है, कुरकुरी चिक्की बनाने के लिये चीनी की चिक्की बना लीजिये.

Peanut Chikki or Brittle1/2 cup Corn Syrup1/4 cup of water 1 cup sugar1 1/2 Peanuts1/2 tablespoon Baking soda1 teaspoon Butterpinch of salt.Mix Corn Syrup, water and sugar. Mix it well and heat it on low medium flame. When it start boiling add peanuts, mix it well and increase flame to high. Keep mixing it, When liquid color change to dark, remove from heat, add butter, mix it well. Then add pinch of salt and Baking soda. Mix will start fuming and immediately spread on well oiled tray.Let it cool and break it and enjoy it.It will never stick to your teeth and will be true brittle.
