Potato Stuffed Chilli Peppers

Less spicy and thick potato stuffed green chilly is very pleasing in taste. Serve potato stuffed green chilly with chapatti, parantha or rice you’ll like it for sure.

Ingredients for Potato Stuffed Chilli Peppers

  • Green chilly - 5-6 (thick variety)
  • Potato - 4-5 (medium size) (boiled)
  • Green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp (as per taste)
  • Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1-2 pinch
  • Ginger paste - ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp
  • Mango powder - ¼ tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

How to make Aloo Stuffed Chilli Peppers

Firstly peel potatoes and mash them finely. Add salt, red chilly, mango powder, coriander powder, ginger and green coriander in potatoes. Mix all ingredients really well. Stuffing for green chilies is ready.

Slit the green chilly from top in center so that it remains joined from the bottom. Like wise cut all chilies.

Take one green chilly and stuff the filling into it with help of the spoon. Press it gently. Like wise prepare all chilies.

Take oil in a pan and place it on flame for heating. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Sauté for few minutes. Now place the stuffed green chilly gently in the pan. Cover the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Open the lid and flip the chilies. Cover again and cook for 1 more minute. Chilies have become soft; now cook them in open for 1-2 minutes. Green chilly has become golden brown from all sides.

Potato stuffed green chilly is ready. Serve with chapatti, parantha, dal or rice. It can be stored in refrigerator for 2 days.
