Alsi । Lin Seeds or Flax Seed

Alsi or flax seeds are bigger in size then sesame seeds. It is used in baking recipes as sprinkler or grind these seeds to mix in ladoo, cookies, cake etc. If you prefer eating eggless cake then use flax seeds powder or soaked flax seeds.

It consists of proteins, fibers, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin-B group, magnesium, calcium, zinc, selenium, lignan etc. Vitamin niacin found in vegetables is also available in flax seeds.

Powdered flax seeds can be mixed in flour for making roti’s, dal, vegetable or milk. For every human 5-10 grams intake of flax seeds is beneficial.

It manages blood circulation and LDL cholesterol, it prevents from getting disease like heart attack and stroke. They also control heartbeats and are also beneficial for fighting constipations and piles. Presence of anti-oxidant omega- 3 and lignan helps keep skin attractive, soft, moisten and marks free. It keeps the roots of hairs strong which further makes them shinning, healthy and strong.
