Palak Paneer Sandwich Recipe
Palak Paneer Sandwich is yummy as well as nutritious. Palak Paneer Sandwich can be prepared and served during tea time or can be sent as tiffin for the kids, it will definitely become everyone's favourite.
Ingredients required :
- Bread slices - 8
- Palak(spinach) - 400 grams/2 cups cups finely chooped
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Paneer - 100 grams
- Sweet corn - 1 tbsp full
- Salt - add to taste or ½ tsp
- Black or white chilli - ¼ tsp
- Roasted Jeera(cumin seeds) - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- How to make Palak Paneer Sandwich
Remove the stems from Palak, after soaking it in water 2 times wash it properly. Place washed Palak vertically in a strainer or plate to drain out excess water.
Now chop Palak into fine pieces.
Pour 2 tsp of butter into a pan and heat. Put the chopped Palak into the butter along with sweet corn, salt, black pepper and blend all of these together. Cover Palak allowing it to cook for 2 minutes. Remove the lid and cook till the water drained from Palak dries up. Turn off the gas.
Crumble Paneer and add it to the cooked Palak and sweet corn. Also add Jeera and lemon juice and mix all the contents well. The stuffing required for preparing sandwich is ready. Divide the stuffing into 4 equal portions.
Coat the inner layers of 2 bread slices with butter. Place Palak stuffing on 1 bread slice with the butter laden side and spread evenly. Now place the other bread slice with butter on it and press the 2 lightly. Similarly, prepare the other sandwich as well.
Place sandwich in a sandwich to grill. This takes 3-4 minutes. Take the sandwich out and place it on a plate. Repeat process with the other sandwich.
