Ingredients for Falooda Kulfi

  • Kulfi - made with 1 kg. Milk.
  • Rose Sharbat
  • Ice Pieces.
  • Sugar - 2 cup (400 gms)
  • Corn Flour - 1 cup (100 gms.)
  • Tukmaria seeds or Sabja seeds - 1 tea spoon.
  • Full Cream Milk - 1 ltr. (to make Rabri)

Method - How to make Falooda Ice Cream at home

To make Falooda we need sweet sharbat, falooda seva, soaked tukmaria seeds, ice pieces, rabri, kulfi and a glass of rose sharbat. You can also use roohafsa or rose essence, instead of rose sharbat. You can use vanilla ice-cream instead of Kulfi. You can substitute Falooda seva with boiled sevaiyan. But you can make falooda seva easily at home, rather than wasting your energy and time to make sevaiyan.


Tukmaria seeds is also known as sabja, babui, sweet basil. It is very helpful to keep stomach problems at bay. Tukmaria or Tukhm-e-Reha can be bought from big groceries stores.

Kulfi for Falooda Ice Cream
Take freezed Kulfi or you can also use vanilla ice-cream. 
How to make Kulfi at home

Tukariya (Sabja) for Falooda
Soak tukmaria or sabja seeds in half cup water for 1 hour. The seeds will get puffed and brown in colour.

How to make Sharbat for Falooda Kulfi

Take 400 gms sugar in 1 cup water on a medium flame and wait till the mixture gets boiled. Once the sugar dissolves completely, cook it for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the flame.

How to make falooda sev
Take 1 cup corn flour, 2 1/2 cup water and mix it well till the batter gets smooth (lumps should not be seen in the batter).  Now cook this mixture on a medium flame. Stir till it gets tranparent and thick. Put this hot mixture into Seva maker with the help of a ladle. On the other hand take a bowl filled with water and ice pieces.  

Press the seva maker and place it over the ice filled bowl. Let the seva strings drop directly into the bowl and leave it for 10 miutes to settle down. Falooda Seva is ready.

How to make Rabdi for Falooda
Boil 1 ltr. full cream milk. Once the milk boils, cook it on a medium flame and stir it continuously. Cook the milk until the it gets reduced half.  5 cup of milk will get reduced to 2 1/2 or 3 cup.

You can also make instant rabri by adding 250 gms khoya in 1 cup milk and cook it till you get thick rabri.

We have prepared all the ingredients to make Falooda ice-cream. Rose Sharbat can be used to garnish the ice-cream. (How to make Rose Sharbat )


How to Make Falooda at home
Take a glass or bowl acording to your preference and add all the seven items in below given sequence.

  • First of all, Put 1 table spoon Sharbat in the glass.
  • 2 table spoon Falooda Seva.
  • 1 tea spoon soaked Tukmaria seeds.
  • 1 table spoon Ice Pieces.
  • 1 table spoon Rabri.
  • 2 scoops of Kulfi or Vanilla ice-cream.
  • Lastly, Garnish it with Rose Sharbat.

Delicious Falooda ice-cream is ready to serve.

You can easily make about 10 glasses of Falooda ice-cream with these ingredients.
