Stuffed Chillies

Do you feel like eating a lot of spicy stuff at times? Stuffed Chillies double the taste of your food. Today we will prepare Stuffed Gram flour(Besan) Chillies, you can keep it in the fridge and eat it for a week.

- Ingredients for Stuffed Chillies

  • Chillies ---------- 125 grams
  • Gram flour(besan) ---------- 1tbsp
  • Oil ---------- 2 tbsp
  • Heeng(asafoetida) ---------- 2 pinch
  • Jeera(cumin seeds) ---------- 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder --------- 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander(dhaniya) powder --------- 2 tsp
  • Garam masala --------- 1/4 tsp
  • Amchur(mango) powder --------- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt --------- add to taste (1/2 tsp)

- How to make Stuffed Chillies

Wash then remove the stems of the chillies. Cut them length wise on one side while it remains stuck on the other.

Pour 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan(kadhai) and heat, put Heeng and Jeera in hot oil. After Jeera turns brown put in turmeric powder and gram flour, fry on a low flame till it turns brown in color. Now add coriander powder and fry the spices for 2 minutes. Turn off the gas, mix Amchur powder, garam masala and salt to the spices. Spices required to stuff the chillies are ready.

Fill the chillies which are cut with the spices.

Pour remaining oil in the pan and heat. Put the chillies stuffed with spices in oil and cover the pan with a lid. Cook on a low flame for 2-3 minutes. Open the lid, the chillies kept in the middle fry fast, turn them over using tongs and fry then take them out on a plate. Place the remaining chillies in the middle, fry them as you turn them over regularly then take them out on a plate(fry chillies till they turn brown). Stuffed Gram flour Chillies are ready. Have these spicy chillies with your meal and give the others as well.
